10U Hawks Win Long Island's Hot Stove Fall Series Championship
The 10u Plainview Hawks completed their season over the weekend by winning Long Island Hot Stove's 11u Fall Series Championship. The Hawks defeated the Whitestone Angels by a score of 5-3 to take the National League bracket. Dylan B. threw a complete game and blasted a game-winning 2-run home run! Plainview's defense was crisp on the field and their bats were thunderous at the plate.
This tournament win gives our 10u Hawks their 7th championship this season out of 8 contests. The only tournament they lost was at the The Little League Finals where they took 2nd Place in all of New York State. Congratulations to our Plainview Hawks on a monumental season!

Congratulations to the 10u Hawks on winning the LI Hot Stove Columbus Day Grand Slam Tournament! The Hawks defeated the NYC Titans by a score of 6-3 in the championship game. Dylan B. threw a complete game and secured the win. The Hawks defense was solid behind him and their offense provided timely hits to knock out the Titans for the second time this season. The Hawks had stunned the Titans with a last inning come from behind win in the LI Hot Stove Memorial Day tournament back in May. Although the Titans had another chance to take a title from Plainview, our Hawks once again proved to be the better team. Congratulations and go Hawks!!!!!
The Plainview Hawks tremendous Little League tournament run ended with a loss to Great Kills LL of Staten Island in the State championship game.
The boys then returned home to capture both the Farmingdale 9/11 and LSW tournaments compiling an overall 30-5 record this summer.
The team won the 9/11 Memorial tournament on August 15th in dramatic fashion. Down 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Hawks were able to tie it up with hits by Josh I., Tyler S., and Jacob G. Then, Andrew B. hit a walk-off triple to drive in the winning run and seal the victory! The Hawks defense was solid, led by a complete game effort by hurler Dylan B. who had 9 strikeouts, 0 earned runs, and only one walk in the game
The Hawks completed their summer season with an LSW tournament win! The Hawks battled the Camelot Knights and held off a last ditch effort to win the championship by a score of 3-1. Pitchers Tyler C. and Jacob G. held Camelot to one earned run. The defense shined as well, led by Tyler D's cat-like reflexes, flashing serious leather at both second and third to frustrate and stymie the Knights' offense.
Congratutions to the boys, their coaches and their families!
The boys were honored by Legislator Judy Jacobs, Councilwoman Rebecca Alesia and have been featured on News 12

10U Softball Wins SSA Championship In Walk-Off Fashion 4-3!
The Hawks and the Central Nassau Rebels were locked in a nail-biter. With the game tied at 2 after five innings, each team had three outs to play with. A couple of walks and a ground rule double in the top of the sixth gave the Rebels a one run lead. The Hawks had one final chance.
Clutch hitting and a large, supportive home crowd gave the Hawks what they needed scoring two runs in the bottom of the frame capping an exciting tournament with a walk-off championship victory! Congrats to the team and their coaches. Great way to end their summer season!!
The 8U Softball team ended the Summer Slam losing to the LAC Force 10-5 in the Championship game Monday night. It was a hot, muggy night under the lights at the Pool field, but the Hawks wouldn't melt. Having been mercied by LAC twice before this summer, Plainview fought hard, got timely hitting and some great defensive plays to keep the game close.
Congrats to the girls on a great summer together! Not only did they learn to play as a team, they all just really like being around each other and having fun. They look forward to an even stronger Fall season. Way to go, Hawks!!
