New Player Registration Instructions:

This page is for players in Grade 1 or higher. The registration fee is $150 with discounts available for registering multiple children. If you register before Jan 22, 2012, the fee for the 1st child is discounted by $25.

New Little League players should be registered at one of the in-person sessions

Friday November 18, 2011 - 6:45-8:45 - POB Library Room B

Friday December 16, 2011 - 6:45 - 8:45 - POB Library Room B

Friday January 20, 2012 - 6:45 - 8:45 - POB Library Room B

The children do not need to be present.

If you missed the registation sessions, do the following:

- obtain a letter from your child's school stating the child's name, date of birth, address and grade

- make a copy of 2 current items that show your address

- mail the letter and proofs of address to PO Box 931 Plainview

- log into the online registration site and register your child

Once the paperwork is received, the registration will be complete

The documents will be destroyed once the registration is processed.

Please note that the school staff is doing a favor when creating these letters. They are under no oblgation to do it.

When registering your child for Little League, you must present an original birth certificate and 2 proofs of residence. If you absolutely, positively cannot obtain your child's original birth certificate, you may obtain a letter, on letterhead, from you child's school. This letter must state the child's name, address, date of birth and grade. Since this causes the school staff to do extra work, it must be used as a last resort only. Please note that the documents presented are not kept by the League.

Little League players must reside in the Plainview-Old Bethpage school district although it is not required that they attend a school in the District. The registration requirements and the residency requirements are set by Little League International, not by the Plainview Little League.

After presenting the necessary documentation at an in-person session, parents/guardians registering new players will be asked to create an account in the on-line registration system and to complete the registration process on-line. Computers will be available at the sessions to enable this.
