T-Ball registration instructions:

T-Ball is for boys and girls in Kindergarten. Teams will be co-ed. The registration fee is $150 with discounts available for registering multiple children. Early registration is now over. If you register before Jan 22, 2012, the fee for the 1st child is discounted by $25.

T-Ball players should be registered at one of the in-person sessions

Friday November 18, 2011 - 6:45-8:45 - POB Library Room B

Friday December 16, 2011 - 6:45 - 8:45 - POB Library Room B

Friday January 20, 2012 - 6:45 - 8:45 - POB Library Room B

The children do not need to be present.

Since T-ball is a child's official entry into Little League, T-ball players are never considered returning players even if they have participated in the Lil Hawks program previously.

If you missed the registation sessions, do the following:

- print and complete the attached registration form

- obtain a letter from your child's school stating the child's name, date of birth, address and grade

- make a copy of 2 current items that show your address

- write a check for $150 to Plainview Baseball Association (or the proper amount if this is a 2nd or 3rd child)

- mail everythiing to PO Box 931 Plainview

The documents other than the registration form will be destroyed once the registration is processed.

Please note that the school staff is doing a favor when creating these letters. They are under no oblgation to do it.

When registering your child for T-Ball, you must present an original birth certificate and 2 proofs of residence. If you absolutely, positively cannot obtain your child's original birth certificate, you may obtain a letter, on letterhead, from you child's school. This letter must state the child's name, address, date of birth and grade. Since this causes the school staff to do extra work, it must be used as a last resort only. Please note that the documents presented are not kept by the League.

T-Ball players must reside in the Plainview-Old Bethpage school district although they are not required to attend a school in the District.

T-Ball is a child's entry into Little League. The registration requirements and the residency requirements are set by Little League International, not by our League.
