Parents are an integral part of the Plainview Little League organization. Without parents, there would be no League. We urge you to enjoy watching your children play ball and to keep in mind that you are there for them, not them for you. Parents are welcome to assist during team practices with the consent of the team's Manager. Please remember that if you are on the field, you are there for the whole team, not just for your child. All parental involvement during games and practices is at the discretion of the Manager.
Let the players play
Let the coaches coach Let the officials officiate Let the spectators be positive Little League has a rule which states that only a team's Manager, Coach and up to one parent may be on the bench or in the field during a game. If you are not the designated "3rd coach" you must remain in the stands. You can keep score or keep the pitch count from the stands, you do not need to be on the bench. Nobody should be by the backstop of any field during a game. There is nothing more enjoyable and memorable than watching your child make a play that he or she could not make the season before. Sit back, relax and enjoy. |
