After losing their opening game in the tournament, the Hawks won 4 straight games, including two dramtic and exhausting victories on Saturday, to reach the final. Unfortunately, the dream of a state championship came to an end as the girls fell to a strong team from Snug Harbor. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and parents for an amazing and unprecedented run!

10u Girls summary
After an incredibly intense game, tied 1-1 after 5 innings, the Plainview Hawks exploded for 3 runs in the top of the 6th. After Ava L led off with her 2nd single of the game, Rachel K drove her in with a triple. Alexa H was up next and stroked a double to right field, scoring Rachel for a 2 run lead. The place was going wild. Alexa proceeded to steal 3rd, and then in a daring move, stole home to give the Hawks that extra cushion.
The ball was handed back to Alexa to finish the game and she did so in her typical fashion, striking out the side in the bottom of the sixth for Plainview's most memorable victory

7u Hawks Win Memorial Day Tournament
The 7U (Rising 8U) Plainview Hawks completed their first season together this Memorial Day Weekend winning the LI Hotstove Memorial Day Tournament.
In the Hotstove Memorial Day Tournament, the Rising 8u Hawks defeated the Carle Place Wildcats, the North Shore Highlanders and the Bellport Blueclaws scoring 60 runs and allowing only 3! The Hawks then defeated the Bethpage Eagles in the Semi-Finals winning 15-3. The Championship was a battle of the bats as the Hawks faced Long Island Crush (a/k/a Team Steel from Baseball Heaven). The Hawks would go on to win 15-12 to bring home the Championship. In about a 36 hour time frame, the Hawks played 5 games going 5-0. They scored 75 runs and allowed only 18. They compiled 79 hits including 4 home runs. And they pitched 7 different pitchers, striking out 46 batters. Congratulations to the Hawks, their Coaches and their Parents!!
11u Hawks Win Independence Day Tournament
The 11u Hawks were victorious this past weekend, waving their Stars and Stripes! Plainview's "Boys of Summer" defeated the Blackstone Valley Thunder (Central Massachusetts) by a score of 8-4 to win Baseball Heaven's Independence Day 11u tournament. It's was a wild weekend with the first game postponed due to lightning on Friday night, forcing the Hawks to play 6 games in 3 days. But this team rose to the challenge, with a pool play record of 3-1, their only loss (9-8) coming from the Thunder. As fate would have it, the Hawks had a triple header on The Fourth of July, finishing their pool play with a win over the Ducks, a semi-final win over the Hurricanes, and a championship finale that allowed our boys a second chance to defeat the Thunder, this time for all the marbles. The defense was stellar and the hitting was timely alongside a complete game effort by their ace, Dylan B. Congratulations to the 11u Hawks on their second championship of the season!
New 11u Hawks Win Memorial Day Tournament
This past Memorial Day weekend was a successful one for the newly established 11u Hawks. In their first tournament of the season, the Hawks swept the competition in the Plainedge Memorial Day Weekend Tournament. They went 3-0 in pool play, defeating Plainedge 6-3, blanking South Huntington, 12-0, and routing West Babylon, 13-1.
Any plans Plainedge may have had for revenge were spoiled when the Hawks beat the Red Devils for the second time in the tournament, by a score of 6-5 in the semi-finals, which set up a championship game against Team Beast.
In a well pitched and defensively solid game on both sides of the diamond, the Plainview Hawks emerged victorious, taming the Beast with a 2-0 shutout. Along with the complete game, 10K pitching prowess of Dylan B., the Hawks' defense and offense were tremendous from top to bottom, led by Justin A. and Tyler D's timely hits and massive web gems in the championship game. Congratulations to the entire 11u team on their tournament win.

Dozens of residents, local elected representatives and leaders of the Plainview Little League attended the ceremony. The field will provide a dedicated location for our Challenger Division players to hold their games and scrimmages during the spring and fall. Congratulations to Challenger Director, Robert Pickus and the many dedicated volunteers who made this dream a reality.
